How to conduct an interview - pointers
To carry out my interview with the school business manager for my primary research, I have to consider an understanding of how to conduct an interview/meeting.
Here are the things I found that should be done in an
interview/meeting.
- ü ensure the organisation of the interview is on point—make sure it is organised for the correct date and time in the correct location.
- ü give them some background as to what and why you are asking.
- ü let the person answering speak—give them time to answer the questions and only ask 1 question at a time.
- ü Listen and be engaged.
And the things that shouldn’t be
done in an interview/meeting.
- û Don’t rely too much on the notes—actively ask questions.
- û Be disrespectful or talk over the person being interviewed.
- û Don’t ask more than 1 question at a time.
